A-dress-ing social justice//

Did you know?!
•Globally the average cost of a slave is $90.

•There are approximately 20 to 30 million slaves in the world today.

•According to the U.S. State Department, 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year. More than 70 percent are female and half are children.

•The average age a teen enters the sex trade in the U.S. is 12 to 14-year-old.

•California harbors 3 of the FBI’s 13 highest child sex trafficking areas on the nation: Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego.

•Between 14,500 and 17,500 people are trafficked into the U.S. each year.

Now that you know you will be held accountable for your knowledge!

Partner with the heart of God. End modern day slavery. Do not be silent. Do not turn a deaf ear to such a huge issue. Do not allow this to be an out of sight out of mind problem. Human trafficking is real and it is going on all around us. It is not something that only happens in third world countries. It it happening all across the United States as well! We cannot be silent. Those women and children need us to be their voice while they have lost theirs.

This month I have made a commitment to participate in the global movement called Dressember. Dressember is a fun and quirky way of raising money and raising awareness about a very serious issue. 100% of the funds that we raise are going straight to the International Justice Mission, to end the greatest social injustice of our time! Check out www.dressember.net to hear more about this movement and to make a donation!

&&never ever forget how powerful your prayers are! Keep praying. Start praying. Let’s make a difference and leave a lasting mark on this earth.
